The Martinikerk is the oldest church in the city of Groningen. The many beautiful wall and vault paintings, the magnificent Schnitger organ make this monumental building the most important historical cultural heritage of the city.

The church fulfills a broad public function and in recent deccades has grown into a versatile and unique platform for conferences, dinners, anniversaries, lectures, concerts, and exhibitions. You can rent the nave, the high choir, the chapel, the Librije, and the Frederici room for your event. You can also get married there: the Martinikerk is an official wedding location of the Municipality of Groningen. The nave is perfect for large events for up to 1200 guests. With a smaller group (12 to 100 people) you can go to the Frederici room, the Librije or the chapel. Every Sunday the Martinikerk is used for the purpose for which it was built: church services. An unique atmosphere in the heart of the city. Martinikerk, space for inspiration.

Are you interested in renting the church, would you like to attend a concert or visit the church? We are happy to receive you.
