Huis de Beurs is a Groningen variant of the Central European tradition of the traditional coffee house. A coffee house is an outdated name for a café that is open during the day and where especially good coffee, nice cakes and slightly alcoholic drinks are served. It is the place where farmers, citizens and people from outside meet. It is the world of daily life, trade, culture and politics. It is the place where people meet, whether or not by chance, in a pleasant atmosphere. See and be seen. The regulars read their newspapers there every day. There is written, thought, poem and work. They stretch their legs for a moment. They agree. Tablets come to the table and laptops are unfolded. Market people get their coffee there and students meet before or after their lectures. And all those passers-by do justice to their name. In the meantime, a pianist from the conservatory is venturing into Rachmaninov's second piano concerto. In short, Huis de Beurs is a neat civilian affair, at any time of the day, for a very wide audience.
It can be characterized as stylish, timeless and brown. The atmosphere is very special. The light through the large windows, filtered through the awnings, contributes to this. Many artists were inspired by this special light for a sketch, a watercolor or a painting.
The narrow, long terrace on Folkingestraat offers our guests what it is all about on a terrace, but it also offers a wonderful view of the lively street noise and the often hilarious, bizarre hectic pace at the intersection with the A-Kerkhof and the Vismarkt.

't Feithhuis
't FeithhuisGroningen
For years, 't Feithhuis city café and restaurant has been the meeting-place for inhabitants and visitors to the city of Groningen. Located in the very heart of the city centre and near the Martini tower and Grote Markt square, 't Feithhuis provides every option for a delicious breakfast, lunch, gathering or dinner. With the versatile offer of packages, 't Feithhuis is the perfect location for weddings, celebrating a conferring or holding a company event. Historic and futuristic, classic and modern, regional and mondaine; these apparent contrasts come together in 't Feithhuis. The old building with its modern design is just one example of this, as is the menu, which also includes 'forgotten' Dutch vegetables and preparations with a contemporary interpretation. Responsibly caught fish from remote compass points can be combined perfectly with regional products. Opening hours Monday through Sunday from 10.30 am until 10.30 pm
